Content Specialist

Wander is a growing startup that specializes in luxury home rentals catered to global nomads. The operations team is looking to hire a full-time Home Operations Content Specialist to work on set up and maintenance of Wander’s smart home properties across the United States. This role will work cross-functionally with marketing to also shoot and edit content for Wander’s site and digital/social platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team at a rapidly-developing company that will take you to some of the most beautiful locations in the United States. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Background and training in videography/editing, with a focus on digital platforms (please share any relevant work samples)

  • Self-starter and able to operate independently with limited direct supervision 

  • Willing to travel 85-95% of the time to beautiful locations (Coastal Oregon, Tahoe, etc).

    • *Position may include several-week visits to Wander homes and weekends. 

  • Possesses a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and is able to drive long distances

  • Able to lift 30/50/80 pounds 

  • Able to pass a background check 

  • Able to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize appropriately

  • Self-disciplined, reliable, and highly motivated

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented

  • Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic 

  • Interested in long-term employment and career development at a growing company with a tight-knit culture 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in smart home technology installation and operations 

  • 1+ years of experience in home renovations, residential remodeling or residential technology installations and/or successful past experience installing smart home technologies, building furniture, and doing home improvements

  • Experience hosting a YouTube channel or similar on-camera experience (please share links) 

  • Understanding of video trends, best practices and optimization 

Responsibilities:
The Home Operations Content Specialist at Wander will have many roles and be responsible for: 

  • Supporting Wander home interior and exterior set-up and installations, including pre-made furniture assembly.

  • Overseeing furniture acquisition and delivery, which may include traveling to geographically-dispersed warehouses to coordinate pick-ups.

  • Collaborating with Wander concierge to enhance guest experience and resolve any issues that arise during a guest’s stay 

  • On-site capture and editing of multi-platform content such as social BTS, YouTube vlogs, TikToks/Reels and more. 

  • Actively pitch new content streams and work with marketing on long-lead planning of content calendar.

  • Traveling on-site to each Wander home to execute operations.
