We’re excited to share Wander has raised a $50M Series B from QED Investors and Fifth Wall with many other great investors. This capital raise comes at a major inflection point as we prepare to scale our industry-leading guest experience to reach and serve more customers.
Hey everyone,
I’m thrilled to share that Wander has closed a $50 million Series B from QED and Fifth Wall, alongside Redpoint, Uncork, Starwood, Authentic, Breyer, Alumni, Hakluyt, Activant, Soma, and many other incredible partners.
Four years ago, at 23, I stepped down as CEO of a company I’d started at eighteen and scaled to growth stage. Unsure what came next, I packed my car in Austin and drove to a tiny cabin in the Colorado mountains to think. The peaks were beautiful; the house was less so: slow Wi‑Fi, dirty pans, and a chore list longer than the drive. I like to picture ideas as glowing orbs drifting through the world; if you’re lucky, one finds you. Wander found me that night and wouldn’t let me sleep. I could see the roadmap and the culture: software doing the mundane work, zero tolerance for drama, a company built to serve. I wanted my dream to be reality so badly the odds didn’t matter.
We launched with three homes, so few that the site scroll‑looped to look larger. Emboldened by the support of our founding members, we forged on. Those early stays laid the foundation we keep building, trip by trip.
Today, just a few years later, more than 1,000 Wander homes span the map. We’ve grown to tens of millions in bookings, and our NPS in the mid‑80s is more than double the industry average. With a vertically integrated technology stack now fully in place, we’re able to run lean while delivering consistently exceptional hospitality. And yet we’re still early; there are more than 300,000 Wander‑worthy homes across the world. We’re just getting started.
The moments you share remind us why this work matters: proposals at sunset, milestone birthdays, babies’ first steps on living‑room floors that would have sat empty. In a category notorious for unpredictability, we’re building something you can count on. We won’t be perfect, but we’ll never stop trying.
To the guests who trusted a brand they had never heard of and the homeowners who handed us their keys, thank you. Your belief gave us the opportunity to build. And to the team, thank you for showing up every day with excellence, humility, and care. You have built this company brick by brick, guest by guest, with a level of ownership that is rare and powerful. It is the joy of my life to be building with you all.
The Wander tattoo on my wrist is a daily reminder of the promise we made: to help people find their happy place again and again. Four years in, it still feels like day one, and I wake up grateful for the chance to keep going and the opportunity to build something meaningful.
Thank you for believing in this idea, for shaping it with your feedback, and for giving it the chance to grow. Wander is here because of you: our guests, our team, our homeowners, and our investors. Every one of you plays a part, and we don’t take that for granted. We’ll keep showing up every day, doing our best to earn your trust and build something worthy of it.
