It has a level grade and a hard-packed crushed limestone surface, making it suitable for people of all abilities. Open for hiking and bicycling from April through November. From December to March, the trail is open to snowmobiles when conditions are favorable. A Wisconsin State Trail Pass is required for bicycling.
