How to Use the Grill at Wander Hudson Ridge

Who said outdoor dining only means trying out restos in town? A perfect way to top off your trip is by cooking hearty meals for you and your crew. Plus, it's a great way to bond with family and friends over a shared love for good food!

At Wander, we have all the essentials whether you're a grilling rookie or a seasoned pro. So fire up the grill and get ready for some tasty vacation memories at Wander Hudson Ridge!

Safety precautions

For a memorable grilling experience, safety must come first! Ensure that children and pets are kept far away from the grill, and never leave the grill unattended while cooking.

Also, avoid placing flammable materials on the grill that could potentially catch fire, such as gasoline, debris, wood, etc. Remember these tips to make grilling as safe and enjoyable as possible!

How to turn on/off the grill

You could easily find the grill by the firepit close to the pool – an ideal spot for hosting an evening of grilling during your vacation!

To get started, open the lid before igniting the grill’s burners. Turn the gas knob to the flame level you like. Then, press and hold that ignitor button (it's on the far left side of the grill panel and has a thunderbolt sign) to light up that flame.

Finally, when you're done, simply turn the gas dial to the off position.

Troubleshooting steps

If the ignitor button is not functioning, you can turn the gas dials and manually light them using a grill lighter. You can find the grill lighter and grilling tools in the top drawer by the stove.

Meanwhile, you could use the extra propane tanks in the outdoor closet under the overhang if gas has run out.

Bonus: Grilling Tips!

  1. Preheat the grill before cooking, and don’t overcrowd it to ensure that your food cooks evenly.

  2. Use separate plates and utensils for handling raw and cooked food.

  3. Add sugar-based sauces, like BBQ sauce, at the end of cooking to avoid burning.

  4. Trim excess fat from foods to reduce flare-ups while cooking.

  5. Have fun and experiment with different techniques to keep things interesting.

  6. Finally, enjoy your delicious grilled food with family and friends!

Now that’s done, get ready for a day filled with checking out museums, activities, and live entertainment while you're in town. For more travel tips and insights, text Wander Concierge – they’d be happy to help out!
