Investor Relations Specialist

About this Role:

As an Investor Relations professional at Wander, you will be the primary liaison and source of information for investors and other external parties. 

You will assist in building and implementing Wander’s investor relations program to ensure Wander effectively manages and communicates a consistent message to investors and key stakeholders.  You will be tasked with preparing and communicating performance and key metric reporting, leading investor meetings, and analyzing and executing new funding initiatives. You will report directly to the VP of Finance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Knowledge of investment fund life cycles and fund administration services, including subscription agreements, contributions, distributions, and redemptions in accordance with SEC regulations

  • Establish and manages the process for investor communications

  • Design and implement robust automated reporting packages

  • Prepare transaction documentation and supporting files, and understand the features of the investment and debt transactions.

  • Assist in preparing management fee calculations

  • Assist in presenting financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules

  • Help manage the year-end audit process in collaboration with the other team members, investors, and auditors

  • Handle daily/routine investor information requests

  • Responsible for compiling and maintaining database of transactions and supporting documents 

  • Analyze and interpret the impact of various funding strategies while working in the context of broader corporate goals

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Company's strategy, operations, and financial history and consistently stay current on the Company’s business initiatives

We’re Looking For:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting; strong academic record

  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience in fund/REIT accounting, finance, and/or investment reporting 

  • Strong quantitative skills

  • Must be proficient in financial reporting and modeling

  • Self-starter, highly organized, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to be a collaborative team player

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 

  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects

  • Possesses a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, a positive attitude, and genuine passion for excellence

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 

  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Detail-oriented is an understatement 

  • Eagerness to take ownership and independently drive projects to completion
